As part of Samsung’s focus on driving the transition from static to dynamic digital signage, the partnership with FASTSIGNS , a leading franchisor of sign, graphic and visual communications centers, will make Samsung’s signage solutions available to FASTSIGNS’ network of 460 franchise locations nationwide.

“Part of our strategic vision is to broaden the use of dynamic digital signage by customers who previously thought it wasn’t possible for their business, or too complicated to implement,” said Tod Pike, senior vice president at Samsung’s Enterprise Business Division. “With the help of FASTSIGNS’ network and expertise, organizations of all sizes and types will be able to benefit from the advantages of dynamic digital signage that is engaging, easy to deploy, and cost-effective.”

As a result of the partnership, FASTSIGNS locations will be able to offer Samsung’s ME and MD Series LED-lit displays as a dynamic signage alternative.Available in a range of sizes, these thin, energy-efficient displays offer USB plug-and-play content playback with Samsung’s MagicInfo Lite, and upcoming models will support Samsung’s Smart Signage Platform featuring an embedded, open source media player and software developers kit. Samsung will also provide support and training for FastSigns staff to help them best advise customers in choosing the right dynamic digital signage solutions for their business needs.

“We’re seeing an increase in the demand for dynamic digital signage solutions from our customer base,” said Gary Feltham, Sr. Vice President Business Development FASTSIGNS. “They are in need of a solution that is simple to deploy, can deliver their message in a compelling way and provides real return on investment. Samsung’s digital signage products and the new Smart Signage Platform are the perfect complement to our current offerings, as they align with our vision of providing simple, yet dynamic solutions that fit every business need.”

In addition, Samsung announced that N. Glantz & Son, a full line supplier of sign supplies for digital, commercial, neon and electrical sign and graphics supplies, has joined its distributor network. With its heritage in the signage market and nationwide reach, N. Glantz & Son will help expand availability of Samsung’s dynamic digital signage solutions to their extensive customer base of traditional sign makers.

"We are excited to launch Glantz Digital Signage this year at ISA in conjunction with Samsung," said Joe Hartman, Co-CEO of N. Glantz & Son. "The traditional signage market is changing again, and we will be taking a leadership role in helping our industry and our customers participate in this exciting evolution. Dynamic digital is a great opportunity for our customers to employ new technology, which complements their existing core competency, and our resources are in place to facilitate that transition.

Tiered Signage Solutions

For small- and medium-sized businesses looking to take advantage of the benefits of dynamic digital signage, Samsung offers tiered solutions to fit specific customer needs:

• For customers with a single location seeking a simple yet professional digital messaging solution, Samsung’s MagicInfo Lite software lets users create plug-and-play content, which can be loaded to the display via a USB drive, enabling users to schedule content in minutes.

• For larger businesses with multiple locations, customers can work with Samsung’s network of software partners to choose the right signage applications and content designed to run on the Samsung Smart Signage Platform . Available on select Samsung large-format displays launching this spring, the Smart Signage Platform is an integrated, open-source platform built around an embedded media player and Software Developer Kit (SDK). Suitable for an array of applications and environments, it offers customers a quick and efficient solution for keeping content fresh and targeted to the unique needs of their audience.

Samsung will be presenting a series of educational sessions at ISA as part of the Dynamic Digital Signage Park, focused on how the brands can transition from static to dynamic digital leveraging the Smart Signage Platform:
