New Bluetooth Headset Boasts ANC Technology and Ergonomic Design
SEOUL, Nov. 28, 2013 — LG Electronics (LG) today announced the newest version of its popular Bluetooth stereo headset, LG TONE ULTRA (HBS-800). This feature-packed model is the worthy successor to the LG TONE (HBS-700/730), a top-seller with more than two million units sold since its introduction in 2010.
The TONE ULTRA was developed specifically to provide a superior audio experience with eyebrow-raising stereo sound. By adopting noise reduction – also known as ambient noise cancellation (ANC) – technology, the TONE ULTRA blocks out background noise, allowing the listener to focus on the music or conversation without distractions.
In fact, Golden Ears, an audio equipment evaluation site, rated TONE ULTRA highly for its impressive audio performance. Golden Ears remarked that among the myriad of wireless earphones on the market, TONE ULTRA was its top choice for “providing a perceptibly improved audio experience.”
And LG’s unique around-the neck design has also been improved in the TONE ULTRA. By adopting the ergonomic 3D Neck Behind design of previous models, TONE ULTRA is designed with comfort in mind. Earlier this year, TONE ULTRA received a 2013 Red Dot Design Award in recognition of the product’s ergonomics and aesthetic appeal. Judges were particularly impressed with the memory alloy, which allows the TONE ULTRA to return to its original form no matter how roughly it’s treated.
What’s more, TONE ULTRA can be paired with any Bluetooth-supported device, including smartphones, tablet PCs and laptops. A clever multiple access function allows two Bluetooth devices to connect to the TONE ULTRA simultaneously.
Both black and white versions of TONE ULTRA will be available in the United States and China by the end of the month. TONE ULTRA will roll out in parts of Europe, Asia and the Middle East throughout the month of December.

Experienced Executives Tapped to Lead Key Positions in 2014 and Beyond
SEOUL, Nov. 27, 2013 — LG Electronics (LG) today announced 44 executive appointments, among them three new company presidents. Among the promotions are new executives to lead the Home Entertainment (HE) Company and Global Sales and Marketing Office. New positions are effective December 1, 2013 with promotions taking effect on January 1, 2014.
Dr. Jong-seok Park, head of LG’s Mobile Communications (MC) Company, has been promoted to the title of President of LG Electronics. Dr. Park, 55, will continue in his role as President and CEO of the MC Company where he successfully oversaw the development of the popular LG G2, Nexus 5 and G Flex smartphones. With more than 30 years of experience at LG, Dr. Park previously headed LG’s mobile phone R&D operations before taking on the role as head of the MC Company in 2010. A graduate of Seoul National University and Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), Mr. Park received his M.B.A. from McGill University in Canada and a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the University of Florida in the United States.
Long-time LG Display executive Hyun-hoi Ha was promoted to President of LG Electronics and will take on a new role as President and CEO of the Home Entertainment Company. Mr. Ha, 57, has been with LG for 28 years, much of that time at LG Display where he held various positions in sales and product planning before assuming his most recent position as Executive Vice President in LG Corporation where he was responsible for bringing together the various LG companies to create new innovations and synergies. He holds degrees from Pusan National University and Waseda University in Japan.
Executive Vice President and CFO David Jung was promoted to the title of President of LG Electronics and will continue in his role as the company’s CFO.Mr. Jung, 56, joined LG in 1983 and was appointed LG Electronics’ Chief Financial Officer in 2008 after holding leadership roles in LG Corp. and LG International. Mr. Jung is a graduate of Seoul National University with a degree in business administration.
Wayne Park, head of LG Electronics USA since 2009, will be returning to Seoul to assume the position of Global Sales and Marketing Officer. Previously, Mr. Park was head of LG Electronics Korea marketing, President of LG Canada and Vice President of Zenith Electronics LLC, among other high profile positions. As Executive Vice President for Corporate Strategy, he created the company’s global business strategy, evaluated the marketability of emerging markets and reviewed new business opportunities. Mr. Park joined LG in 1982 after earning his bachelor’s degree from Seoul National University.

Waterloo, ON – BlackBerry Limited (NASDAQ:BBRY; TSX:BB), a world leader in mobile communications, today announced that as part of the on-going reorganization of BlackBerry, Kristian Tear, the Company’s Chief Operating Officer, and Frank Boulben, the Company’s Chief Marketing Officer, will leave the Company.  BlackBerry also announced that James Yersh will replace Brian Bidulka as its Chief Financial Officer.  Yersh, who has worked at BlackBerry since 2008, previously served as Senior Vice President, Controller and as the Company’s head of Compliance.  Bidulka will stay on as a special advisor to the CEO for the remainder of the fiscal year to assist with the transition.

Milan, Italy - Sky Italia, Nokia and Microsoft have announced the global debut on Windows Phone of Sky Go, the service that allows users to view 30 pay-TV channels on the go. Thanks to this agreement, one of the most loved applications - already chosen by 1.9 million Sky subscribers - will be coming to the entire Nokia Lumia family in Italy starting from the middle of December.
The agreement allows Sky to enhance its mobile service by offering some of its most prestigious content to owners of Windows Phone 8 Lumia smartphones, which are increasingly widespread in Italy, in addition to allowing Nokia to enrich its cutting-edge models with the application that truly allows TV to be taken outside the home.

Espoo, Finland -The Extraordinary General Meeting of Nokia Corporation held on November 19, 2013 ("EGM") decided to confirm and approve the sale of substantially all of Nokia's Devices & Services business to Microsoft in line with the proposal and recommendation of the Nokia Board of Directors. More than 99 % of the votes cast at the EGM were in favor of this proposal.

"This is a significant step forward for Nokia. We are delighted that shareholders have given us overwhelmingly strong support to proceed with this transformative agreement," said Nokia Board Chairman and interim CEO, Risto Siilasmaa. "Today's vote brings us closer to completing a transaction which will mark the beginning of the next chapter in Nokia's near 150-year history, offering the potential of greater value for shareholders," he said.

The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2014, subject to regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions. The transaction was originally announced on September 3, 2013. DÃœSSELDORF, November 13, 2013 – BlackBerry® (NASDAQ: BBRY; TSX: BB) today announced three German-based, enterprise customers have migrated to BlackBerry® Enterprise Service 10, BlackBerry’s enterprise mobility management (EMM) solution. Mitsubishi Motors Deutschland, manufacturing giant Grohe AG and sugar producer Südzucker AG have each installed BlackBerry's multi-platform EMM solution to provide superior security, control and management at the device and app level to their mobile deployments.
The BlackBerry enterprise solution has a strong market following in Germany with 50 percent of DAX companies testing or committed to using BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10, and around 90 percent of the Federal State Governments testing or committed to using BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10. 
Mitsubishi Motors in Germany was looking for a solution to deliver high security and flexible device management. “We have been using BlackBerry smartphones for years, due to its excellent integration with the business environment and its sophisticated security architecture,” said Thomas Lefeld, Manager IT/Organization, Mitsubishi Motors Deutschland GmbH. “BlackBerry consistently delivers the solutions we need - flexible device management and new all-touch and QWERTY smartphones for our employees, all combined with consistently high security levels that we can always trust.”
Grohe AG is Europe's largest manufacturer of sanitary fittings, including kitchen and bathroom faucets/taps, and shower systems. The company deployed BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10 to have a single mobile device management system for all its devices. Seoul, London and New York among first to invite customers to ‘design your life’ at Samsung GALAXY Studio pop-up locations 
SEOUL, Korea - November 12, 2013 - In an effort to properly introduce customers to its latest flagship devices, Samsung Mobile has opened a series of interactive, pop-up product experiences designed to demonstrate the everyday improvements made possible by the GALAXY Note® 3, GALAXY Gear™ and GALAXY Note® 10.1 (2014 edition). The pop-up spaces, part of Samsung’s family of GALAXY Studios, began in Seoul and are now open in London and New York City.

With each GALAXY Studio, Samsung will give visitors the opportunity to experience first-hand the added fun, convenience and possibilities afforded by its mobile technologies. At each location, customers will be invited to touch and feel, learn about key features and create personalized content by utilizing new product offerings such as the improved S Pen™. In London, deep partnerships with retailers will serve to embed Samsung mobile technology directly into the shopping experience, making it richer, more impactful. By bringing the product experience to customers as they conduct their everyday lives – browsing in a shop, walking a highly trafficked street – Samsung aims to illustrate the simple and intuitive nature of these products in addition to their ability to integrate seamlessly into everyday life at maximum benefit.

In London, the GALAXY Studio experience will extend into the shops of eight retailer partners who will each offer special opportunities for shoppers to utilize GALAXY devices to amplify their visit in some way. The partners, who range from a hair salon to a coffee shop to an antique store, will each integrate the devices into the shopping experience in a unique way.


GALAXY Studio in Your Life will be open from Oct. 19 – Nov. 24 on West London’s Portobello Road featuring the following retail partners and activities:

  • 10500 Hair Salon: Customers will use the devices to create a Scrapbook of their favorite hair styles found across 
     the web, or review digital look books featuring various styles and color options, making notations with the S Pen. 
     fashion focused My Magazine will keep customers entertained, while kids can pass the time by using GALAXY Note 3 
     to draw and play.
  • Coco Nail Shop: Customers will browse and select a desired nail style from  Scrapbook, while nail technicians will 
     maintain a digital look book by adding photos of their client’s newly painted nails for future consultations. 
  • Pedlars: Customers of this antique shop will be able to view information about the different designers whose items 
     it sells. Pedlars staff will also use the devices to help customers research and select the items that are just right 
     for them. 
  • L’Epicerie: At this deli and cafe, devices will be used to calculate food and drink bills and diners will be treated to 
     devices for their entertainment – such as checking out the latest news and content displayed via MyMagazine 
     – while they enjoy their refreshments.
  • Provenance: Customers of this butcher will find the perfect sauces or wine pairings for the meat they buy, or browse 
     and email themselves new recipe ideas using the devices. 
  • Coffee Plant: This cafe will invite customers to browse the latest news, entertainment and social media content with 
     MyMagazine on the GALAXY Note 3 while enjoying their favorite cup of coffee. 
  • Kuka Me: Jewelry lovers will enjoy collecting inspiration from across the web using the Scrapbook feature of the new 
     devices as they plan their next jewelry purchase. Designers can also show the next season’s accessories and 
     customize collections for customers while they wait. 
  • Mushroom – Stall: Shoppers will write down cooking tips on the spot using the new S Note, which enables them to 
     send the notes directly to themselves via email. This specialty retailer will also create Scrapbooks of recipes and 
     lists featuring different types of mushrooms. 

In New York, shoppers will be treated to a seasonal holiday experience at the GALAXY Studio in the SoHo, one of New York City’s most vibrant neighborhoods.. For these consumers, Samsung will offer creative shopping solutions utilizing the GALAXY Note 3 to maximize efficiency and have more fun. The SOHO GALAXY Studio will also treat shoppers to coffee and refreshments, offering a respite from the cold weather and crowded streets. 

In Seoul, Samsung hosted the first in this series of GALAXY Studios in Insa-dong Song. Visitors of this busy thoroughfare were invited to interact with GALAXY Note 3, GALAXY Gear and GALAXY Note 10.1 devices in unexpected ways. Examples include the customization of photos with the new and improved S-Pen and personalization of an accompanying photo frame that visitors were able to take home.
